CRYSTAL CLOUD FOR CHROMEBOOK

This package installs a Chromebook Linux shortcut for Crystal Cloud using FreeRDP.
It does not run the Windows installer and it does not use Remmina.

Use the current tested package:
CrystalCloud-Chromebook-FreeRDP-20260805-6.zip

If you already downloaded an older CrystalCloud-Chromebook-FreeRDP ZIP file,
delete that old ZIP file and delete any old extracted CrystalCloud folders
before installing this version. This version uses a short folder name:
CrystalCloud

1. Turn on Linux once:
Click the clock, open Settings, choose About ChromeOS, choose Developers,
then choose Set up next to Linux development environment.

2. Extract this ZIP file.
After extracting, you should see this folder:
   CrystalCloud

3. Move the extracted folder named CrystalCloud into Linux files.

4. In the Files app, right-click the CrystalCloud folder and choose
   Open in Terminal.

If you do not see Open in Terminal, open Terminal normally and type this
   short command, then press Enter:

cd CrystalCloud

5. Type this short command, then press Enter:

bash install.sh

6. Keep Terminal open until it says:
   Crystal Cloud is installed.

Setup is finished when Terminal asks you to press Enter to close.

7. The Crystal Cloud picker opens. Choose your assigned login.

8. The first time you use a login, enter the Crystal Cloud password. The
launcher will try to save it in the Chromebook Linux keyring for next time.

Everyday use:
Open the Chromebook Launcher, search for Crystal Cloud, then choose your login.

If Crystal Cloud opens and then closes:
It should show an error window. Take a picture of that error window and send
it to Lakeview. Do not type a file path unless Lakeview specifically asks for
the connection log.
